Spirit of Foundation
"Our goal is to develop professionals who can contribute to the nation and society."
Our mission of education is to promote individuality and to encourage an excellent personality. Shubun University and Shubun University Junior College are based on Ichinomiya Women's Commercial School which was founded in 1941 with the spirit of the foundation as "Our goal is to develop modern women who can contribute to the nation and society". The founder of the school established the precept to guide education as "concession, cheerfulness, and robustness". In 1955, Ichinomiya Women's Junior College was established with the aim of the development of modern women with broad education, professional knowledge and skills who can contribute to society.
As time passed, society became more gender equal. Shubun University was established in 2008, and then, the Department of Early Childhood Education, Shubun University Junior College, became a co-educational institution. At this moment in time, the spirit of foundation was revised to "Our goal is to develop professionals who can contribute to the nation and society".
We are working to foster caregivers as skilled human resources in society with the education philosophy of training of professionals who place their attention on citizens and can contribute to the protection of human life.
