Shubun University Junior College

The Department of Early Childhood Education offers subjects focusing on practicums in both nursery and kindergarten facilities. Child caregivers play important roles in the community and in children's lives. This is a field in which there are no differences between men and women: whoever loves children with passion has a place in the field of childcare. The department has been co-educational since 2011.
Even though our department is coeducational, the Department of Living Culture offers four courses that support female students only. They are designed for female students who are searching for a suitable profession so that she may also play an active role in society.

Department Chair, Department of Early Childhood Education

The Department of Early Childhood Education with over a half century of history has produced over 20,000 childcare specialists from foundation year, and has continued on developing young childcare providers based on our traditional education systems.
After entering our institution, students start to certify learning experience as a childcare giver, and advance to experience field practice in order to become a certified childcare worker, one who is full of a sense of mission, practical leadership, and team spirit. We aim at developing reliable childcare providers, those loved by not only the children but their parents in the region as well.
